The Association of Sikh Professionals (ASP) is a service organization formed
in 1984 by several Sikhs in the Midwest region of the United States. It has gradually expanded its membership significantly throughout the United States.
The Association funds and supports various Sikh service projects. ASP annually gives grants to the many projects, which assist Sikhs and the less fortunate around the world. For example ASP has funded projects like the Guru Harkrishan
Sahib Eye Hospital near Sohana, Punjab, the first Sikh advocacy group in Washington, D.C., the first electronic media group for Sikhs, and many other projects.
ASP is always willing to entertain new ideas or ventures to help the greater Sikh community globally. Since its inception, the Association has distributed well over $3.5 million dollars to various Sikh non-profit projects.
The Association is legally incorporated in the US as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) entity. ASP is governed by a Board of Trustees that is bound by a Constitution.
