Sikh Education Aid Fund Report 2002

Since its inception 18 years ago, The Association of Sikh Professionals (ASP), a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) entity, has awarded hundreds of scholarships to Sikh students seeking higher education. These scholarships were provided for through the Association’s own in-house fund called The Sikh Education Aid Fund.

Today, August 31, 2002, the Sikh Education Aid Fund is pleased to announce the recipients of scholarships and loans for the 2002 - 2003 school year. All applicants received these awards after careful evaluation of completed application forms. Awards are for one year and are renewable based on production of satisfactory academic performance. Details of past awards and application forms may be obtained from our web site at www.sikhprofessionals.org. The awards this year were reduced because of the impact of the events of 9/11 on our revenues. We ask for help from the sangat and our well-wishers in the hopes that this year we will be able to collect more funds to award Sikh students next year.
